These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website www.thehideandseek.at and the travel services provided by thehideandseek, registered in Vienna, Austria.

1. Definitions

• "Company" refers to thehideandseek, Schottengasse 6-8, 1010 Wien, Austria
• "Client" refers to any individual or entity booking services through our website or office
• "Services" refers to travel tours, guided experiences, and related offerings

2. Bookings and Payments

All bookings are subject to availability. A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of payment or a deposit as specified in the booking confirmation. All prices are quoted in Euros (€) and include applicable Austrian VAT (Umsatzsteuer) at the statutory rate.

A deposit of 30% is required to secure a booking. The remaining balance is due 30 days before the tour departure date. For bookings made within 30 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.

3. Cancellation Policy

• More than 60 days before departure: Full refund minus a €50 administrative fee
• 30–60 days before departure: 50% refund
• 14–29 days before departure: 25% refund
• Less than 14 days before departure: No refund

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover unforeseen cancellations.

4. Tour Changes

We reserve the right to make minor changes to itineraries due to weather conditions, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond our control. If significant changes are necessary, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer an alternative or a full refund.

5. Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is not included in our tour prices. We recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical expenses, personal liability, and repatriation. Austrian residents may consider policies from established Austrian insurers.

6. Liability

thehideandseek acts as a tour organiser under the Austrian Package Travel Directive (Pauschalreisegesetz — PRG). Our liability is limited to the provisions of the PRG and applicable Austrian law. We are not liable for losses caused by force majeure, third-party actions, or the client's own negligence.

7. Health and Fitness

Certain tours involve physical activity at altitude. Clients are responsible for ensuring they have adequate fitness levels for their chosen tour. Please inform us of any medical conditions or mobility restrictions at the time of booking so we can make appropriate arrangements.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, design, and logos — is the property of thehideandseek and is protected by Austrian and international copyright law. Reproduction without prior written consent is prohibited.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Austria. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Vienna (Handelsgericht Wien).
